Speaker Replacement
#1
Just wondering if anyone knows what size speaker would fit in the rear doors of my 2001 2500hd Silverado. I know the stock size, but I was looking at 6x9s. Would they fit, I dont mind cutting, and still clear all the power window stuff? If anyones done it, or has advice I'd appreciate it.

Doesn't look like anyone responded, so I thought I'd give you my thoughts.
Check Crutchfield's configurator. They usually will tell you what will fit, but may require additional brackets.
The biggest issue will be the depth of the speaker used. You may want to remove the panel, lower the window down and see what type of depth your working with.
Also, I use this source as a bible for helping with cars that I haven't worked on before.

Hope some of that helps.
