Default Short Circuit in radio?

Guys, other day in the evening it looks like I got a short across a light bulb in my radio. I pulled the radio apart and saw the two end of a LED I put in very close to eachother and one of them was desoldered.

When that short happened, all my radio dash lights went out with the parking lights on. When I turn the parking lights off, just the clock portion of the radio would stay on. I still had radio function, but no lights with the parking lights on.

I fixed the solder, and now the radio won't give me anything, sound, lights, nothin! It looks like there is a VERY small fluxuating voltage going to the circuit board(less than .5V) Anyone have any suggestions for me in trying to trouble shoot this one? What could I have fried in the radio. When I supply 12V to where the 12V should be applied on the little ribbon, all teh lights light up no problem, but when it's plugged into the factory harness there is nothing. I know it's not the fuse or the main harness since the sub is powered off that and it has power.

Any help would be appreciated. Trying to keep from having to buy a radio...plus fixing stuff is so much more fun!

Thanks,
Andrew

So do you have 12v in the main harness? I have had several cases myself with these trucks where either the constant or switched 12v wire will lose power for no apparent reason (fuse not blown, wire looks fine, etc.). Each time i ended up runing a new wire to the ignition harness or down to the black box on the floor board under the dash.

If you have 12v at the harness then it is radio related and we can go from there.

Yep, I have power to the harness because my amp turns on and it's tied to an radio/ignition wire right at the harness at the back of the radio.

well you could have 12v at the amp turn on wire and not on the switched or constant to the radio. Check those wires specifically in the harness and if you have power then it is a problem with the radio.
