05 silverado
the seek button and the 1&2 for the radio dont light up anymore. Are these just bulbs behind there or what? and how would i go about replacing it?

I belive that you can't replace the light to the control. I think you have to replace the whole button assembly. Is your truck under warranty still?

 

Factory warranty is up, but i have a extended warranty, but it has a 100 dollar deductable, which i didnt know when they fixed my door

 

if you've got extended warranty, get it replaced. The dealer will just order you a new radio, the lights/buttons are not serviced by a GM Dealer. The radio is about $300 or so, so the $100 you have to pay is a small fee.

 

I thought you were talking about the steering wheel controls not lighting up. But either way you will have to replace the whole assembly. I have my factory radio out of my 2005 GMC that ia a 6 disc changer, my truck has the bose system. I would sell it to you if you are interested. I would sell it to you for 200.00 shipped. I know thats more than your deductable but a nice up grade for you if you have a single disc.
