Hey guys, got a guy at work that wants to sell me a zx500 for $275. Is this a good deal and is there anything i need to watch out for on this amp. I remember people highly regarded these amps at one time but i have never personally owned one. My previous amps have all been old school us amps and soundstream when they were built in the U.S. I would like to get something just as reliable but i just dont know hardly anything about phoenix gold amps. I have personally installed and heard the new PG RSD 6.5" components and was blown away by how good they sounded for $100 on ebay. I think the new PG stuff is starting to get pretty good. Just for comparison, there is one on ebay for buy it now $250 + shipping.

 

Old school pheonix stuff rules...the new stuff...not so much imo..but i've never heard the comps just played with a lot of their amps.
