Default Replacing stock speakers and amp ???

I'm in the process of replacing my stock speakers. I just bought some Polk DB650 6.5" coaxils and Polk DB460 4x6s. The RMS ratings are 40w on the 4x6 and 60w on the 6.5s. My question is: Will my Pioneer HU power these enough and sound clean? I know the HU's RMS is 17-22w. Or should I add a 4-channel amp? I have a Pioneer GM-6200F 4-channel amp that has a RMS of 60w x 4. Won't that be too much for the Polks? That would be like 80w RMS going to each speaker. (20w HU + 60w amp) Need some help here.

if you used the amp to power all 4 speakers then your HU wouldnt power them at all. If you have the amp laying around I dont see why not to use it. Otherwise I cant imagine what else you would use the amp for.

yeah you can adjust the gain settings on the amp to make sure you dont blow those 40w rms speakers, here is the link to a full size chevy thread on how to properly adjust the gain settings.
