Default Radio Light bulbs and Volume controls

Anybody else have issues with the Delco Radio bulbs going out in the GMT400 trucks? I'm working on sis's 99 Tahoe and for some odd reason, half of the radio lights are out. When I opened it up, all the bulbs show good, but the bulbs wont power up.
Any known resolution?

Also, anybody have a fix for Delco radio volume controls? It seems that there's a thousand fixes online for around $100, but that's hardly worth putting into a Delco.

Everyone of them that I've seen has lights out on it anymore, even the one that came with my truck (came with aftermarket head unit). I used my stocker in my work truck, and half of the lights didn't work.

I also would like to know how to fix this. My 07 Classic has lights out in the radio, dual climate controls, and the steering wheel.

Ill have to play with it after thanksgiving and see if I can get it to go, and a replacement light part number for folks to use.

I did a repair guide on the Pontiac steering wheel controls a while back, and the trick was to go to 14V bulbs if you didn't want to dink around with LED's.
Since the stock voltage system doesn't run at 12V, (More like 13.8-15V) the 12V bulbs would quickly burn out.
(Same issue with the 800 trucks running lamps)

Sad part is, quality hasn't improved. I worked on an 03 Buick and nearly every light in the dash (Except the speedo and tach) was blown out. GM's only fix is to replace the entire HVAC module and others.

Oy!
