Default Problem w/ factory cd player

I am having some trouble with the CD Player. It will not even attempt to play a CD, just spits it back out, and reads Err. As of today, it reads Err all the time, and makes the noise like its trying to read a CD. any advice on a quick fix, or is it time for a new deck?

mine does this from time to time, probably dust from interior.
as far as it doing this all the time, a new deck might be in order.

very odd fix for it....i guess while it was trying to read the non exsistent CD, even while the ignition was off, it drained the battery...i boosted it off, and the CD player now works fine.....??? hahaha!
