Looking to install a Pioneer AVH-P4000 in an 06 Silverado. No XM, no OnStar, or steering controls. Will the PAC GM24-OS2 interface be all I need for all chimes and factory functions to work? I'm planning to keep all the factory Bose equipment functional and add a small amp and sub to the system. Should this work out and be a fairly clean sounding system? And do I need any other installation kit for the unit?

yeah that should be all you need to interface with the bose. You will need an atenna adapter as well. The unit should come with ears for you to screw it in the dash with the factory screws so no dash kit is required.
Should sound pretty good, as a personal preference when i put aftermarket subs into vehicles with factory subs i usually unplug them so the aftermarket sub is all that is playing the low notes. Good luck with it all.

06 Silverado SS with bose, but no OnStar. Emailed PAC and they confirmed that PAC GM24-OS2 is what I need. Now looks like the METRA GMOS-04 will do the same thing for a few dollars less. Anyone have an opinion on which is better? PAC or METRA
