Default No Sub Output from Headunit

Just bought a Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD. What would be my best bet for installing a small sub. I intend to keep the bose system and amp by using the Metra GMOS-04. But the headunit only has front and rear RCA outputs, I was thinking that I should split the signal for the front to feed the Metra interface. I'd then use the rear outputs for my Sub. Sound like a plan?

Yes. If your not running an amp on your midrange rear's just hook your sub amp to the rear rca's.
I'd get a bass **** for the amp tho, because without a sub output you can't control the bass on the subs without changing the bass in your mids.

Bass ****, never heard of that, but I'm just putting a sealed 8 under the back seat, no searious boom here, just solid bass to back up the factory system. Thanks for the input.
