no oil pressure after motor swap
So I swapped an 03 lm7 motor with an 05 l33 motor that had all the sensors. After putting my whole truck back together and started it I have no oil pressure. Are the newer oil pressure sensors a different impedance? Do I have to swap the them out? Or do I have a bigger problem?

to be honest i dont know that engine in all its entirety but if you had it before and it aint knocking then its got pressure so i would say bad sensor or wrong sensor.. if you know what it came out of do a search on any parts store and see if its the same part number..
love my truck but ditched the whipple and im working on a front mount turbo

I just swapped a 2005 engine in place of my 2001... The plug for the sensor was different so I used the one off my 2001 engine. I'd say if it plugs in you are alright. I'd try putting a manual oil pressure gauge on there just to verify

It plugged in. When I first started it it was sorta loud it did quiet down a bit I'm just unsure I haven't herd it run in a while. My gauge reads absolute 0. It only ran for about 2 mins before I noticed it. (As i was paying attenition to other things under the hood) So I hope I didn't mess anything up. Where is the port for a mechanical gauge reading?

i ran my truck for 2 years with 0 pressure because my sending unit was bad.. if there was a noise after the swap and it went away i would venture to bet you have pressure but you can always pull the sending unit and put a mechanical in
