new lighter system?

I'm tossing around the idea of getting a lighter sound system set up if its worth it? ? ? Currently I'm running a forward fire box with 2 sound quebed 12's and 2 clerion 6x9s was wondering if switching to some shallow mount 10s would save that much weight and if they would sound worth a dam?

Your box/subs/6x9s are probably very very heavy. The 6x9 alone weighs 9.3lbs. It would be a good idea to weigh the entire setup. I would bet that box is super heavy. Those subs are around 35lbs each. Your total setup is around 300lbs I bet. A lighter down firing sub box with 2/10" lighter weight subs eliminating the 6x9s should help a ton. If you could get the whole setup to lose 100lbs it would be worth it.
The very very best thing to do would build a box that is smaller with the amp attatched all in a single unit that you can remove very easily for callouts and track days.

yea I was thinking 2 single down firing boxes and doing something for the 6x9s to make them easy to take out too
