Default Lows and Fogs

Just wanted to see if anybody knows how to make it where when the lows come on the fogs come on too without pushing the fog switch.

All you would need to do is take the switch out and cut and connect two of the wires together. I'm not sure which two it would be. A voltmeter would help or maybe someone with a schematic will reply.

Do this, definitely worth the time. I did it on my last truck, and it was awesome. Take the time to read it thoroughly and get a couple extra diodes. I had mine set up where my fogs came on with my drls and all my lights came on with the highs. So it was like a 8 high mod. Pretty cool...

You may want to check your local laws. In some places its illegal to have the fog lights on all the time.

They will only come on when my lows come on. Not on all the time.

+1, some states are hard on fogs unless it's foggy. I'd atleast make it so you can turn them off. Are you getting aftermarket fogs or your truck come with em? i ask because GM makes a fog kit with the valance, fogs, wiring and switch for cheap. I paid 120 for the whole thing cause I i needed one light(80) and the valence (70) so it was cheaper for the kit.

No my truck did not come with the fogs. I am going to buy the kit that GM has and I will have to see how much it is but I think somebody told me $200 for the valence, fogs, harness and switch. But I am going to check tomorrow for prices. Then I just have to order another HID kit.

I found this on GMpartsdirect.com

That's a good deal. I get parts cheap cause I got friends at the dealer and I used to work there. It's a good and complete kit I would recommend it.

Does anybody know the part number for said fog light "kit" from GM?--Tony

*EDIT* NVM, called the dealer and they said they no longer offer the kit. Nor do they have a listing for a harness/switch kit. Oh well, just means I can improvise something cool.
