kenwood DDX6019 in 04 tahoe
#1
i read alot of posts about in dash screens for the c/k trucks- and i decided on going with the kenwood DDX6019- just figured id share my thoughts on it
i went from using the stock base cd player to the ddx- and i upgraded the door speakers all to infinity kappa 6.5 components.
the 6019 is an awsome unit for the money- i paid 1100$ on ebay for the deck, and nav box. the nav is highly detailed and havent found a problem with directions in the 3 weeks ive had it installed.
i also went with the garmin gxm30 antenna for XM and nav traffic- after working some bugs out with the XM through the nav- i love it, display and functions are all great. when i first installed it i had problems with no volumn from the XM- but had volumn from the nav voice prompts- you have to go in to AV and set Nav to on to get XM audio
but yeah- it looks like its supposed to be there, install was clean- i just need to run the garmin XM antenna outside now that i got it working.
only downside is the lame backgrounds for the function screen- but i rarely have it on the regular tuner anyway so its not all bad
just figured id share
sorry for the glarey pic- its the best i had right now
