Has anyone installed one or have one installed? I'm talking about the stealthbox that mounts inside your center console so you don't lose any space just the AC ducts that go to the rear. I'm wondering how it sounds and how was the install?

I'd rather not put a box under the rear seats because i use that storage space all the time. Thanks!

I know how to use the search function. The stealth boxes that most of the posts are reffering to are the ones mounted behind the rear seats. I'm inquiring about the ones mounted in the center console.

 

I have installed one.... It sounds OK IMO..... But the one I installed was powered by a shitty amp... a nice 250 .1 would prob. make it sound great. You do loose the rear console heat..and you have to cut some things from the console.

 

did you take out the seats when you did the install and did you have to disable your airbags?

I'm thinking of using diamond audio speaker or MB quarts all around (installed both in my DD and Boat and love them) with the stealth box. Powered by either a 450.4 or a Rockford 850.4 and the sub by a 500.1 Probably the Alpine or Pionner touch screen HU.

I might fab something to get some 6.5 mounted by the kick panel to point upwards for better imaging. It still in the works, I'm just waiting to blow something before i upgrade.

 

The JL Audio 250/1 makes the 10w3 sound great. If you can wait out till summer the middle of May, I'm probably going to sell the Box, Sub and Amp...

I'm going to upgrade to 2 10's under the rear seat with like 1000 watts
