Default how to wire a tachometer

i was wondering how do you wire and auto meter tachometer on a 2000 gmc sierra 5.3, what wires do you have to pull or what? can some body give me a step by step explanation? thanks alot

you can use the white wire off your PCM, that's the "signal" wire to use for a RPM window switch.
The same one is behind your dash on the cluster
