Default Highs and fogs.

Does anyone know how to rig a 99 Sierra so that the fog lights don't turn off when the high beams come on? I already did the high 4 thing after reading the $1 headlight mod thread and loaded up my Denali headlights with 6000k HIDs in the lowbeams and 4300k HIDs in the highs, but I'd really like to put 3000ks in the fogs. If they turn off when the highbeams come on though, it'd kinda defeat the purpose. I tried to just ground out the fog lights like I did with my lowbeams, but it didn't work. Anybody know?

I'd like to know too

I was thinking that I could just use a relay and rig up my own deal and bypass the relay stuff so when the highs turn on, the fogs dont turn off.

I did the $1 high 4 mod too i think two weeks ago and I thought about messing to get the fogs to work but I didnt pursue it.

A little search goes a LONG way.

You'll have to do some reading as it starts off for 03+ but a few pages in someone does tell how to do it on 99-02.

Same thing but with fogs instead. Everything was on that thread.

Sorry I may have confused you. Since he was talking about 99-02 I didnt clearify and state that I have an 01 as well.

I have already read that thread once and I just re-read it and I didnt see anywhere that talks about wiring in the fogs for the 99-02. I could have missed it since there are 15 pages; the only thing that I saw was two people threw around the idea of splicing in the fogs with the lows or splicing them in with the parking lights.

as i recall thats how you do it.

if you did the diode on the plug, get a test light and see what wires light up when your fogs are on and don't when its off. Put in another diode. If you can't find one you'll probably have to splice.
