I have the HVAC unit with the sliding temp bars but was wanting to put in the digital one out of a different model like the escalade.
When I went to go install it I thought it would be pulg n play but the original one had a LT Blue and black connector and the new one had LT Blue and grey. The black is a 8 pin connector and the grey os a 12 pin.
Has anybody ever tried to swap this out? Could it work? How can I make it work? Or should I give up and put it back on ebay
Thanks

The only thing I could think of is to get a wirring diagram for your tuck and one for what ever you got the HVAC out of a see what wire does what, O and post it up if you go for it, or sell the thing to me and I'll try lol.

It's not going to be an easy swap. I didn't look at the slider style controls, but I know the one from the escalade uses a HVAC control module, blower control module, completely different wiring harness etc... I'm not saying its impossible, but it is definately impractical. Remember that the digital controls are also automatic climate controls which monitor the interior cabin temperature with external sensors and control the blower speed and temperature depending on the temperature, sunlight sensor (yes it's different whether it's day or night) and what you have the dial set on.
