Default Fuel Pressure Guage Reading Low

I just installing my Autometer 2663 Fuel pressure gauge. I bought it used, but it was in good shape.

I installed everything and put the sender off the the shraeder valve.

When I went to fire it up the fuel pressure was reading was low around 42 psi. I've tried two different grounds and two different power wires. I can't figure out what the deal is.

The truck is running fine and always has, although just to be safe I'm going to buy a fuel pressure tester to make sure.

Anyone have any ideas?

Yep less than 2000 miles ago. I honestly think it has something to do with the gauge/sender though. I'll post up tomorrow when I try the pressure tester.

How much does the PSI fluctuate on the gauge when you drive it and go WOT? Does it respond correctly as far as PSI changes?

Yes, it's fluctuating normally. I supposed this thread is a waste until I test it out tomorrow.

Hey man I appreciate it, but harbor freight(god's give to college gear heads) has one for under $20. If they're out of stock Autozone and Advance each have one for around $40. I'm sure it will get it's use some other day.

Key on-engine off, 50 psi.
Idling, 45 psi.
WOT, 65 psi.

This is on my own truck, others may vary a few psi. I have the inline Walbro that came with my Radix in the equation, might make a little difference.

See between key-on, idle and wot it's only moving between 39-45 psi. There have been a couple times where the gauge won't even come on at all. It's an expensive *** gauge, but I'm worried it might be messed up.
