Default Fuel gauge sending unit for fuel cell....

Where can I get an aftermarket sending unit to install in the new fuel cell that will be compatable with the dash gauge?

Thanks, Jim

I imagine the one's for gm listed would be the right ones. I assume you are talking about the one's the fuel cell companies sell. You can buy universal ones from parts stores or heavy equipment parts suppliers. They make them that you adjust and setup yourself as far as float travel and length. The only thing I know to tell you is to pull your stock sendig unit out and put an ohm meter on it and mark the change from full to empty and then match those readings up to an aftermarket one.

Thats exactlly what I was gonna say. Ohm it out. See what you have at empty and full. Sometimes senders will output 0 at empty and 280 full. Some are backwards. Just gotta be sure of what your senders says and go from there. Stewart Warner, Autometer and RCI sell some that should work.
