The door speakers are 6 3/4" and the pillars are 4x6" on a reg cab. 6 1/2" can be substituted for the doors. (If you go to crutchfield.com and type in your vehicle info they'll tell you what fits your vehicle)

I got some infinity componet door speakers and blew the left one in a matter of months with nothing more than the stock head unit.

It is easy to blow any speaker if you are feeding it crappy power from a stock headunit. It is less likely to occur if you use a clean amp to drive the speakers.
