Casette Player
2001 Chevrolet Silverado Z71.
I use a casette tape to link my Zune up to play musc through the truck stereo. I haven't had any problems until recently. Every time it put the tape in, it says "Cln" (Which I assume stands for CLEAN), it tries to read the tape, then tries the other side, and then ejects it. The only way I've been able to get it working is by pressing the "PGM" button which apparently tells it to flip to the other side. So.. I literally have to leave 5 minutes before I plan to leave to go somewhere just to get the stupid casette player working if I don't want to mess with it while driving. I've been able to beat the system by: inserting the tape, pressing "PGM", pressing "PGM" again, pressing pause on my Zune, pressing "PGM" again, and then starting a song on my Zune. Keep in mind this is within a period of 5 seconds and doesn't always work. But, once I get the casette player to recognize that there actually is something in there, it works for the rest of the ride...
How do I fix/clean this? Has anyone else had problems with this?
No, I will not switch to the wireless reader because the sound quality is not as good and there's alot of interference...
Please help.
