Default a/c problems

I am having trouble with the a/c system in my 2002 silverado. the electrical harness has been highly modified and in the process I accidentally removed the high pressure recirculation switch signal wires from the c2 connector on the under hood fuse panel. The computer has also been re programmed for a 2002 camaro. I dont know why but the dyno tuner said it was a better base for programming my engine. I was told that my computer will no longer interface with the 2002 silverado high pressure recirculation switch. Is there any truth to this? If so is there a way to bypass the computer to get the a/c compressor to turn on? I am a little lost in my research because I don't know exactly what the computer does with the pressure switches.
