Default Buying a cd player

I need help buying a cd player for a 1990 C2500 Chevy truck. I had great luck out of Sony and Pioneer products. I want to know brands to stay away from and what brands to consider. I like the feature where you have to open the face in order to insert a cd or adjust the settings.

i've used sony stereos before, but i prefer alpine or eclipse. if you want a feature rich Alpine, then the CDA-9886 is a great start. A more economical model that still retains good features is the CDA-105, which is a newer model.
If you want to stick with a sony, the GT640UI is a pretty nice model with good features for a reasonable price. you'll need basic hand tools to install it, a dash adapter kit, and a wiring harness adapter.

I've always liked Alpine. I'll sell you my old one! It's just chilling in the box for now.

I would recommend ALPINE, I have never had any luck with Sony. Have you called Crutchfield for advise?

Alpine is good a little pricy my favorite is pioneer they have by far the best sound quality clarion is a close second. Just remember you get what you pay for so even the cheap models of the brands listed will suck so don't go cheap.
