Bazooka...
#1
Just wondering if anyone has a Bazooka tube in their truck? My truck is a reg cab so I'm not looking to add a bunch of stuff. I just want a little extra bass to the factory speakers. I don't want real loud & obnoxious either because I don't feel like going anymore deaf than I already am!

I have one in my 1989 Silverado, it bumps suprisingly well. It won't make you go def and it isn't obnoxious. I think it will be just what your looking for.
By the way mine is a 6.5 inch non powered (no bulit in amp) Bazooka Tube.

if you want to go cheep you will get a cheep sound .
Same with the MT thunder form.
If you want to keep it cheep, buy a prebuit box, buy a sub that will run in that air space( Rockford ,MTX,Polk,or JL entry level, JL are cleaner sounding IMO), and spend most of the money on a good amp. Clean power is worth every penny.
I took a 10 MTX sub out of a powered Thunder form box, built my own box for it and reused their amp. It was 10 times better sounding in my box.
For the price bazooka aren't that bad. Just spend a little more and you will get a whole lot better.

As an audio enthusiast, it's pretty easy to say Bazooka's suck (or any other prefab enclosure with sub)
However, if your only looking for filler sound, then this is the ticket. Not only that, it's small, easy to remove, and very durable. I would suggest the 8" though for just a little more headroom when turning it up. I had a 6" in highschool some ten years ago, and the 6" could not move as much air as I wanted. Then again, I was in highschool...

I know I'm bringing up an old post. I have a 8" Bazooka tube with a punch woofer in it, and it sounds a lot better than the Bazooka did, I kept blowing the Bazooka's. Im by no means an Audiophile anymore, its been about 10years or more since I was, but the Bazooka fits the bill for just a little low end. I think I'm gonna get off my *** and build a box ofr 1 10 though
