Was it built out of 1/8" panelling? Seriously? I have had stereos my whole life, and some extremely LOUD setups. I have never blown a box apart. A friend of mine used to build stereos for competition and went to several National and World finals. They never blew anything other than woofers.

I had 2 Bostwick 12s in 01 that did 148 legal on an Audio Control then later did 153 same year with 4 12s. In 04 I had 4 Treo 12s in a ported box that was doing 147 legal on a Term Lab and 156 legal with an Audio Control. Guy that has done all my work for years owned the Term Lab and built 3 competition vehicles. All of which did 155 and higher. None of them ever had a box blow apart. All of mine was built with SQ 1st and DB came just as a by product of the woofer cone area and amp power. There is no excuse for a 1/2 mdf box to come apart if built correctly.

I agree the probox diddent hold up. That is why I am going to build my next box myself. I hit 150.4 on a term and a 151.8 on the other mic. All prefab boxes will fail at some point in time if you have enough bass. the 150s I hit were with audiobahn subs
