I just got a new 06 silverado work truck and the radio doesn't pick up stations very well. I seem to have had this prblem with all of the GM trucks i have owned. Even with an aftermarket head unit the stereo reception sucks. I have learned to deal with it in my 01 but, the 06 is even worse. Anyone else have this problem? Is there any kind of fm signal booster available?

 

Part of living in BFE? My truck's reception is much better than any of the other vehicles I drive.

 

I wish that was the case, but my little civic picks up everything fine. The TA also gets all the stations. In the trucks, halfway home from work i get nothing. So i know the signals are there, just can't get em in either truck.

I had that problem with my 99, it was the antenna base/cable had come apart, probably when I tried to remove the antenna before a car wash and the whole thing twisted. I doubt that's your issue with an 06 though. Did you try bringing it in to the dealer since it's still under warranty? Maybe it's a known problem they have a cure for?
