Default Backup camera/Android Auto for '05 Burb

I have a 2005 Suburban 2500 that needs some modernizing. The truck is an LT with steering wheel controls, rear entertainment, Bose, and no OEM Navigation.

I really just want to install a backup camera to make it easier to hook up a trailer, but nowadays there are so many options for in-car Double DIN touch screen devices that I figured it might be worth upgrading the whole system.

My absolute requirements:
-Backup camera
-Maintain steering wheel button functionality
-Maintain rear entertainment sound functionality via main volume control
-a real volume ****...I do not like having to mash buttons to go up and down

"Nice to haves"
Bluetooth connectivity for streaming Spotify from Android phone
Android Auto for GPS navigation from Google maps on phone

Part of me wonders if there is an easy plug and play option for a Rearview mirror that offers backup camera capability...

I recently installed a Sony XAV-AS3200 into my 06 Suburban. Mine has the Bose system but I deleted the center console and amp, so I called the Crutchfield tech support because the stereo was only playing at line-level. There's a switch on the little adapter box that retains the chime and steering wheel controls that has line-level and speaker level output, so that was it. I hooked up the backup camera temporarily just to see how it worked. I had to watch a few videos because there's 2 ways to set it up. One way is to have it come on in reverse mode only, but there's another option where it gets 12V power all the time, and you can view the video while driving (useful when towing) by selecting it through your headunit as an option. So I have yet to hardwire the backup camera, but the second option is the one I would use. But in the 03+ trucks the reverse backup camera works nicely because it's all integrated into the factory wiring.

My truck has an aftermarket DVD player that doesn't work, so IDK if/how that would work with the factory DVD player.

Go to the Crutchfield website and select your truck/factory options and your desired wants, and it will select the available headunits with those features.
