Default AVH-4000DVD Backup Camera ?

Will any backup camera work with this head unit or do you have to use the ones specified by pioneer? They are a couple hundred dollars + and more than likely much better resolution than the ones on ebay, but I would think a decent priced unit would suit my needs just fine.

well i have seen the fords that have cams and the video is displayed on the rear view mirror but i was told since i have a nav system that the video would be displayed on it and that is a hell of alot bigger than a rear view mirror but at the same time i also dont want to pay alot for it and i really dont need it but if it can be put on my truck why not just something else to play with and impress the ladies...

You don't have to use Pioneers backup Cam,I have a backup camera, but I can't find the paper work,so I can't tell you what brand it is.The dealer talked me in getting this unit, over the one pioneer has.It work Great.

All you have to do is get one from Ebay. But make sure it is water proof and has nightvision. And that it and your headunit has aux inputs.
