Default Autometer C2 LED lighting

I'm hooking up Autometer gauges and need to know if I can connect the lighting circuit into the BCM controlled dimming circuit on my truck or if I need the Autometer LED dimming control box?

you'll need the autometer...the dimming control on the vehicle will only turn it on or off

So there is no way to dim these using the truck? Either on or off?

the dimmer switch won't dim them, just turn them off

I have everything hooked up except the lighting. Wondering if I should just put it on a park lamp circuit or is going to be too bright?
