Default Amp mounting location

Where do you guys mount your amps? I don't want to lose the cargo space under the rear bench. I've heard of some people mounting the amps behind the rear seat back rest, but that must make adjustments a PITA. Any suggestions? I'm just looking for ideas. This is for an extended cab.

mine are behind the rear seat. A little hard to adjust, but I have my seat modded so the rear will fold down. I don't have to remove the whole seat to get to them. Actually one amp isn't that hard to adjust, but the other one is cause of the way it is made...

There are 2 tabs in the back that allow the seat to slide up and down when you put the bottom up. If you cut about 1-1/2 off of those metal tabs then that will allow the back of the seat to come down when it is at it highest point. I cut about 3/4" off of mine and I raised the seat about 1/2" so I didn't have to cut as much off. You all so have to remove the safety cable that bolts to 2 tabs in the middle of the seat and the floor.

Here is a write up on it (I think) I can't see the pictures while at work.

Just never had a problem with them overheating or even heard of anyone having a problem. There are a ton of people who have amps mounted back there.

Mine got to hot when I had it mounted to my box under my rear seat. Then again, I was about 6 hours into a 15 hour road trip
