i use a kenwood DDX6019 with the nav hard drive built on

i havent had one problem with it, if you do go with it though you need an external amp to power aftermarket door speakers

my truck has some kind of amp in it. i tried to fix the old head unit with no luck so i just pluged my ipod right into the rca jacks that goto the back of the truck. it sounds prety good and goes loud.

i can't decide what i want to do. probably end up with a cheap head unit to replace the one that was in there. a flip out that will hit the shifter sucks. cuting in a double din is more work than i want to do.

do you need some sort of dash kit for them, or do they fit like the stock double din radio?

Fit stock DDIN yes. But you have to get the Metra install kit. Think install kit # is 99-2003.

I have the Alpine IVA-W200 In-Dash Screen. It has DVD, radio, XM radio, IPod hookup. But it does not have Navigation. If I wanted the nav. I would have gone with the Pioneer. They both fit in the factory stereo spots perfectly. Here is a couple pics of mine:

yes it is. there is actually a thin piece of plastic through the center of it that you need to remove. it is a dual single din mount to begin with.
