Advice on Pricing Custom Enclosures, and JL Subs and Amp
Hi Folks.
Just picked up an 04 Escalade and don't intend on keeping the Sub Enlosures (custom built for previous owner - see pic below) or the two 10 inch JL Subs (see other pic below) or the JL 500/1 Amp used to power the Subs.
At any rate, I have some idea from e-bay what the subs and amp go for new. I think probably about 1/3 of new price would be fair. But I will take advice.
What I am really wondering about is how much to charge for the custom enclosures. Also I am not sure if they will fit a Tahoe, Suburban, or Yukon as well (they will if the rear side windows are the same as the 2004 Escalade.
At any rate, hoping to sell locally, so please don't post this to the "For Sale" section. I just want some help in determining a fair price.

Ok, here was what I was thinking of pricing the works for based on some feedback I got from some local car audio shops about the cost of making custom sub enclosures.
I was thinking of around $400 for each enclosure (I have been told each one would take about 3 days to make and cost around $1500 new), $100 for each sub (they are about 300 new), and $200 (500 to 600 new?) for the amp. So around $1200 for all three.
Is this too much? Or am I getting abused with this price? Don't really care if I am, just want to get rid of that stuff as it is taking up space.

Sounds close to right on the custom boxs. The subs i would say your not far off. If you can't get a bill for each i woudn't unload em. The amp you said goes for 5-6bills new....so i'd say 2bills is very fair.
Myself i'd try to get 250 at least for the amp though. Subs tend to not hold value that much but you might be able to squeeze a little more per sub.
