Default 6K stereo circus :( the last word!

Holla Holla Dolla Dolla Bill!

Here it is: as most of you know I have been dealing with my local stereo shop to rectify the "hack-a-system" stereo and alarm installation they did for me since April. BlownChevy dropped off my Radix two weeks later with plans to install it ASAP. I must have been a really rotten teenager because this place hacked, sliced, tore, beat, banged and broke my Clifford G5 alarm and Eclipse/JL/Boston Acoustics Stereo into my truck. MY BRAND ******* NEW TRUCK!!!! Anyway, I removed all the stereo and alarm gear and returned everything to stock. THIS WAS HUGE!, After GM paint repairs, Various Brand new Factory Interior Panels, and Interior touch ups from a mobile professional interior artist (the guy was amazing) I was comfortable. BUT WAIT!!! THERE'S MORE!! I paid the shop exactly 6K for everything. After 6 months I have come as close to recouping all of 6K as I believe I could come without going to court. The stereo shop paid for all Factory paint repairs, paid for all new Factory Interior panels and Hardware beyond repair, paid for an Interior restoration guy to finish the Interior as NEW.

Also they paid for a rental car I had for 2 1/2 weeks and paid for a cosmetic refit on my brand new JL 1000/1 from the JL factory.

Also they exchanged my 3 times faulty Eclipse AVN2454 Head Unit for a Kenwood KVT 815 and 4100 Navigation combo ($2500 set up).

Also, they rebuilt the original shitty sub box with a very high quality one (different guy).

They also refunded me $500 cash.

I still have my kick *** Cliffors Alarm, no way I was getting rid of that.

All my gear is in a safe place waiting for a new project........................................... .................................................. ................................coming soon.

I have to send out a BIG THANKS to all the support I've received here and I truly, truly appreciate the advices and help!

P.S. its over, my 03 1500HD is gone. WHY? Lets just say I needed piece of mind and it wasn't going to be over for a while unless I did something different.

Whats the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Man, don't I know it. I'm a die-hard DIY'er now as a result of this.

Thanks for the thought

Glad to see everything was somewhat corrected. Just thinking about that makes me sick to my stomach. My next round of mods are totally out of my hands and Im freaking out about who to have do it. Hopefully I made the right choice, if not they are a sponser here and the shop is not far from my house. Hopefully they picked up on my concern during my 3 phone calls and 2 personal visits. They seem like cool guys, so Im keeping my fingers crossed.
