Default 2011 Denali factory nav speed bypass

My dad just bought a 2011 Yukon Denali with the factory nav. He's complaining about the nav system only letting him do data input when he's stopped. Is there any way to bypass this lockout to let him (or his passenger) do input while the vehicle is moving?

If he doesnt have power step he can install the stop step switch to interupt the vss for two minutes and have a nice clean look or buy the lockpic if you want to be able to watch video if he has it.Let me know if you want the wiring diagram for the nav vss interupt.
