2008 headunit in a 2006?

Default 2008 headunit in a 2006?

I was wondering if it is possible to add a stock '08 Silverado headunit to our '06 Silverado to allow for the aux jack but keep a factory look.

nope wont work. The 08 uses a different communication protocol.

Also, the interiors of the GMT800 and GMT900 are dramatically different. It wouldn't look anywhere close to stock.

+1 to this. It would have to be a major Frankenstein hack job to fit.
