Default 2003 gauge cluster in a 2000 silverado

wondering if swaping in a 2003 - 2005 gauge cluster will work in a 2000 silverado. They are better looking design, but not sure if all mechanic will work out. Anyone know about this?

from what i have been told, no. the bcm is different and so id the gauges themselves. the 2003-2005 gauges are easyer to fix since you can purchase the stepper motors to fix them onlie. the stepper motors for the 99-2002 are oil filled and will not work.
