Default 2 12" Kicker Comp setup?

Back when I first bought my first truck a year and a half ago I bought 2 kicker comp 12's and a Alpine 500w amp with 2 seperate boxes, well since I live In the same town as the kicker test facility in Stillwater I know a lot of people that work there. Well I've had that setup for almost a year and a half pushing the amp at 3/4 ever since I got it and full blast all the time with no probs, my buddies dad told me I needed more airspace than what I had so I built a box to go under my back seat with a port, he was right it sounded better but the other day I was testing it and plugged the port and it hit about twice as hard so I sealed that up and it's bumps really good! But I want a bigger amp. He told me to get a better box witch I did and a bigger amp so he said those regular comp subs are one of the best subs they've ever made and that they way under rate the power they can actually take. I'm tryin to decide between a Zx750.1 amp and a Dx1000.1, idk what I should get, I run any of my amps I've installed or had a 3/4 no matter what, but what do y'all recommend or what have y'all done with 2 of these subs? I'm just curious and wanting to see how y'all with experience know? He's worked there for years so I know he's a reliable and trustworthy source I just wanna know what y'all have done. Any opinions are appreciated. Thank ya!

The ZX7501 will bench about 850-900 watts if given proper voltage. But for the size, class D efficiency, look at the IX10001.
Which year are the Comps, the newest versions are able to hold alot more power than previous years.

I bought them new last year so probably the newer ones, I know this year the Comp S replaced the Regular Comp but those aren't a very good sub. Im pretty sure mine are the better ones though, so are you saying to get the 1000 or 750? Ill set either one at 3/4 gain, 75htz and bass all the way down, prob have a bass **** mounted somewhere though

you need more box with a port, I had a sealed box two cvrs 12" and a kenwood 1800. I took them out about two years ago and now my truck rattles every time I hit a small bump

The new Comp S is better than the old ones, revisions get better.
Dont go into this thinking where you will set the gain just by adjusting the ****, best is to have a DMM or o-scope set gains...too many variables. Setting the gain to make it on the amp, then adjust from the remote gain, then you will never exceed what the amp is set at when you crank the gain.
If i had to choose between ZX750.1 and IX10001, Id do IX10001...more power, smaller chassis...and may later upgrade to CVR, or now known as Comp R.

id like to get the IX1000.1 but im still in High school and cant quit afford that....I can get a dx1000.1 for $220 tho and I thought thats what id probably do, I can get ZX750.1 for a about the same price, so im just seeing what the best setup is, the box I built was ported at one time but i was messing with it one day and plugged the port with my shirt and it sounds amazing! I just want a lil more to have a badass and lasting system
