Default 06 Crew Cab, how to add DIC controls

Hey guys,

I found a whole mess of info on how to add steering wheel controls on 03-05 trucks but nothing on 2006 trucks.

Can anyone give me the rundown on how to get this function on my 06 Chevy Crew Cab?

I Figured they would be the same as a 05 and 07 classic?

Mines an 07 classic did this.
You need to get the steering wheel and controls
airbag clockspring need to know if yours is single or dual stage bags to get the correct clockspring.

All of the wiring is already there from the factory just have to put the right parts in to get it going.

You then have to program the BCM and radio to the VIN of a donor truck with the DIC and Steering wheel audio controls. You also have to reprogram the instrument cluster to the same donor vin. If you have the stock XM the module with then lock up. You have to replace the XM module with a new never programmed unit to get it functioning again. Once you do all of this you are in business.
