04 z71 1500 high beam indicator stays on, but dim
Hey guys... i just bought a new truck, 04 silverado 1500 with z71 package and i noticed that my high beam indicator light stays on just about no matter what i do... when i turn the high beams on, the light just gets brighter, and when i turn it off the indicator light is still on, but about half as bright.
i have read several forums about people with similar issues, but the thing most of them had in common is that it would come on a few seconds after the interior lights went out but mine just stays on constantly.
i also read somewhere that certain color codes on newer gauge clusters can indicate different things and turns out, a dark blue indicator has something to do with lights being out. oddly enough, the front passenger day time running light was out, and the rear passenger brake light was out. replaced them both, but sure enough the light is still on.
i seen alot of people talking about ground issues and although i understand electronics pretty well, i hate wiring...
