No such thing as a stupid question! They are pretty much the same, except the 2009-newer models use a different pinion bearing requiring a different install kit.

2003 2500 AVY I know the rear is gm 14 bolt full float I don't know the front I assume it is the same as the 2500 pickup. it has the 8.1 BBC engine,
4L85E transmisson,
