Default TBSS Dyno Results from Radical Porting

TBSS Intake Manifold Radically Ported + Throttle Body Ported by Peak Speed Shop
Dyno-tune results provided by MadTunes Racing - Oak Grove, LA

"As far as performance, it is definitely a noticable difference. It should easily pick up .2 in the 1/4 and in my opinion is worth the money! " Adam - West Monroe, LA

Stock 2006 Trailblazer SS with cat back exhaust. A tune was done prior to the "before" results to factor out the effects of just tuning the stock setup. Dyno was before/after test on ported intake and throttle body only.
9.12 Gain in Peak RWHP
11.25 Gain in Peak RWTQ

Gains were seen throughout the power curve with points in the curve seeing as high as:
13 Gain in RWHP
20 Gain in RWTQ

Note: Vehicles with head and cam mods should see even better results.

I wish I could get one for a back to back Dyno for a boosted truck but my truck is awd and won't fit on any of the dynos around me. Would track times work? Lol

I saw an earlier post from 2011 that you guys were working on an intake for 1500/1500hd 6.0 Lq4 motor... Anything come of it? Whats the latest ya got for 2003 1500HD 6.0?? Tell me more about what ya can do for my TB... Do you offer any cold air options to replace my current stock box and K&N filter? MAF upgrades? or is it even necessary?

Thanks for asking. At the time, we were trying to create a package to replace the GenIII intake with a GenIV TBSS ported intake. However, by the time we totaled the costs for the manifold, fuel rails, porting and other miscellaneous parts to make it work the cost was about the same as simply purchasing a FAST LSXrt aftermarket manifold through us. So, we scrapped the project.

We are able to port your LQ4 or LQ9 intake manifold. The cost for Radical porting is $425 plus just $75 additional to have your throttle body ported at the same time. This is most beneficial on the Gen III engines if you've already done cam and head mods and need the additional airflow. The disadvantage is that you are still stuck with the 78mm throttle body where the FAST LSXrt allows you to go to the 90mm or 102mm throttle body.
