Default Gain Horsepower by having Peak Speed Shop Radical Port your Intake Manifold

Peak Speed Shop is a new Supporting Vendor.

We RADICAL port Trailblazer SS and GM Gen IV 6.0L/6.2L Truck Intake Manifolds! Gain 15-20 rwhp!

BEFORE

AFTER

Cory Harris from LS2PortWorks had perfected a method for completely opening up that hole deep in the plenum and removing additional barriers that restricted air flow in the TBSS and Gen IV (6.0L, 6.2L) truck manifolds. Cory's customers typically saw 15 rwhp / 15 rwtq gains and some of the 6.2L customers with headers, a significant cam and ported heads reported as high as a 20 rwhp gain.

Many of you truck guys were saddened when Cory announced he was no longer porting the truck manifolds. We are happy to announce that for the past four months we have been working with Cory to learn his techniques for porting these manifolds in order to pick up where he left off. In order to perform the porting, the top of the manifold is removed and then reattached once the porting is complete.

The cost for RADICAL porting of your manifold is just $425. We can port your throttle body at the same time for just $75 additional.

TBSS owners... we have some ported manifolds in our inventory. If you don't want your vehicle down while you wait to send your manifold back and forth, simply pay a refundable core charge to have us ship one from inventory and return yours once the job is complete.

Order on our web site at:
TRUCK - Intake Manifold : Peak Speed Shop, Boosting Horsepower...Adding Style!

The manifold that is on the TBSS is also on the following vehicles:

4.8L
2007–present Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2007–present Chevrolet Tahoe
2007–present GMC Sierra 1500
2007–present GMC Yukon

5.3L
2004–2009 Chevrolet TrailBlazer including EXT (through 2006)
2005–2009 GMC Envoy Denali
2005–2006 GMC Envoy XL
2005 GMC Envoy XUV
2005–2007 Buick Rainier
2005–2009 Saab 9-7X
2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2007 GMC Sierra 1500
2007–present Chevrolet Avalanche
2007–present Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Yes. On the TBSS manifold we find the top is domed and narrow enough to still be sound structurally without any flexing issues. On the wider and flatter topped L92 manifolds, we add some supports to compensate for what we remove. Here's a pic:

What's up with the Gen III truck intakes with basic port job?

How do they compare to radical ported TBSS intakes?

BASIC porting (not RADICAL) the stock manifold on Gen III and Gen IV trucks gets about a 5 rwhp gain. We don't do RADICAL porting on the Gen III trucks because the construction of that manifold isn't as substantial as the TBSS or Gen IV L92 manifold. We are working on a package that Gen III owners can purchase that includes the TBSS Radical ported manifold and additional parts that allow you to bolt it on a GenIII truck to experience similar gains (+15 rwhp) that the TBSS owners experience. We will let members know as soon as that's available.

We don't have a Flow Bench in-house so we don't currently have flow numbers to pass along. As you know, volume of flow doesn't always result in horsepower gain. Air velocity also plays a part. That's why we rely more on unbiased third party dyno results more than flow numbers. However, to satisfy our curiosity and yours, we are exploring some options to get the manifolds onto a flow bench. We know the radical ported manifolds will have significantly more flow. We will pass along the results when we get them.
