Mike, these are awesome numbers and drag times! I recently added a 2.3 whipple kit on my 5.3 GMC Sierra 1500 sle along with the other mods that were already on it. You can see the other mods in my sig. I am currently running the 3.875 pulley that comes with it and seeing 8.5 psi yet I am only doing 13.7@105.807! You started out with 13.1 with a stock exhaust and stock heads and cams! I thought my previous tuner didn't do a good job, so I took it to another place and I still got the same drag time! I don't know what could be wrong. I wish I caught you when you were here in Dubai so you can tune my sierra into the beast you got going! Im also waiting on a 3.625 pulley from whipple and will see what happens when I get that installed.
One more thing, should I change my doug thorley long tubes to ARH or Kooks? Does it really matter that much?

Thanks a lot guys!

Belt size?

I am acquiring the pieces to do a 8-10 rib set up with a 3.0 blower pulley.

I was wondering if you knew the part number for the green belt you have?

Ray.

What were the weather and track conditions with your run? Different brands of headers usually don't make much difference but sizes and configuration....short or long tube can.

Well, it's been a while since I have been able to update my build thread here with anything really interesting. We had a meeting today in the shop, and we are pretty sure we have proven that we have learned everything we need to know when it comes to the Whipple 2.3 blower on a late model GM truck, from installing a base kit on a stock truck, to running one at maximum blower speed on a daily driven street truck.

It's time for a change, as much as I personally don't want to do this because of how much I absolutely love driving my truck the way it is, it's time to list my blower set up and headers for sale. And then we are going to build a turbo kit for it, New Era style, and we will jig everything up and it will be available for everyone to order.

Awesome to hear. Are you guys thinking single turbo log style or a TT kit?

What size turbo are you looking at? Once you look at the trap speed on your time slip, you will be very happy you made the switch.
