I believe he was asking if the throttle body placement between a stock truck intake and a front entry 2.9L was close enough to use an aftermarket intake tube meant for the stock truck intake manifold/throttle body setup.

Oh, if that was the question, unfortunately I am unsure of that. I know in MoeDenali's scenario, he has the Whipple 2900 but also has the 102mm throttle body which required a 1 inch spacer as well to use that due to throttle body motor clearance issues. So with the 2900 Whipple I guess it can vary.

I see you shouldn't ever have to search for your belt size.

Lol, yes sir, we made a label and stuck it there, just in case. One other thing I was happy with, that is the belt the Whipple kit came with still, and with the 3.875, 3.625, and 3.125 pullies there was no need to change to a different size belt .

Update for this thread. I installed ID725 fuel injectors, and discovered my stock fuel pump is also maxed out so I had to lower the shift points a little bit for now until we build a fuel system, so no 8 rib pulley set up for a while. I also discovered a new issue, it spins a bit too much in 1st gear from a stop if I mash the gas pedal, and it appears that the ABS is pulsing the brakes from what I could see in the logs in 4wd. I pulled the fuses for the ABS, and then it was as if the traction control would not disable, when I applied full throttle, it didn't do it, delayed for over a half second and then went 100%. So I just made a few passes with my ABS kicking in in first gear trying not to mash the gas pedal too hard, I didn't ET any better this stage (60 foot time was actually worse/close to the same), but I did increase mph almost 2 mph, even with the brakes coming on in 1st gear! My plan now is too leave this combination, and try to figure out the ABS/Traction control issue, and just go to Indianapolis and race in the trucks class at the LSX shootout in a few weeks after that. I am very happy with how everything is holding up right now, we got a lot of attention at the track, people were boggled with how quiet the truck was and then they saw it run. We got a pretty cool video on one of my passes, I raced a 2010 Challenger SRT with a Kenne Bell Mammoth Supercharger on it, and he also had Mickey Thompson drag radials. You can finally hear the supercharger now with the NEP CAI, Watch the video and enjoy!

Great update and such an informative way to present all the data your are getting!

I know this may be a little late in the thread, but I was wondering what you considered when choosing the Whipple 2.3L over a TVS 1900? The truck is definitely making some serious power, just wondering if the Whipple has greater potential, better low end/top end, or what?

That's odd with the issue you had when pulling the fuses. Think it may be something up with the wiring and switches you guys setup?? What were you logging to see it pulsing the brakes?? Wouldn't mind logging that a few times on mine to see if I am really disabling mine like I feel I am.

This. I want to know EXACTLY how to ensure easy, reliable deactivation of the traction and stability control systems.
