Sorry about your bad luck. Thanks again for my Sig

We've never met, but I can tell that you are the kind of person who helps people out when he can, and it sucks that guys like that always seem to get a shitty deal. Maybe if you were more of an ******* it wouldn't have happened like that in the first place!

well you did what i would do, inform the fourm of the situation. I promise you people will look at this and think twice before ordering a tune from W4Me i know i would if i was thinking of ordering from them! Be sure to post this over at ls1tech if you havent already, and if i were you i would send him a link to the thread,.He might not reply but he will read it and from the comments that he will read he might realize that all of his "potential customers" feel the same way you do. Good Luck to you and i hope that W4me realizes what should be done.

38.00 might not seem like alot but hell if i would pay it if i didnt recieve any benefits or gain from it!

it sounds like its not really the 38 dollars but its more of the principal of the situation...

you would only think that the most simple of problems, like having the door open or closed during the retune, would have been addressed earlier. I bet SCT and Jesse will think about this situation with the door being opened next time theres a problem with this software/hardware... however, i wonder how much of it is true w/ having the door open. Who the heck knows... glad you found a good tuner and glad you got the majority of your money back

Seems very cut and dry to me. You bought a product and paid for shipping to you, the first time. Anything that goes wrong and requies YOU to have to pay shipping BACK to anyone, should be covered by the original seller. If I was stranded in the sun for hours wondering if my truck was going to restart I woud be pissed and NOT patient.

If you spend $400+ on a product and it never works as its supposed to then Wait4Me should refund your origianl costs and shipping expenses at a minimum. Why should the customer be out $38 and have a headache due to someone else not building a quality product or having someone smart enough in tech support to solve what seemd to be a very minor problem? You would think "Close the door" would be in BIG BOLD LETTERS if that was really an issue.

I can see how its SCT's fault but not Wait4me. He offered to refund your shipping and you denied it, he did refund the tuner portion promptly. If you should be mad at someone its the manufacturer. Seems wait4me went out of his way to help, I dont think its right to speak badly when he gave you great customer service. SCT is a different story the product isnt fully tested obviously.

I declined Jesse's offer to pay me back because he told me on more than one occasion that SCT would be refunding my shipping, I didn't want him to have to pay out of his pocket. The funny thing is when I spoke to SCT, they said that Jesse had never mentioned anything about reimbursing me for my shipping and that SCT only reimburses their vendors (because I was required to send the unit back to Wait4me, not SCT). The fact that I had to be the liaison between both SCT and Wait4me is ridiculous, going out of their way to help me out would have been calling SCT and handling the matter like they told me they would. 99% of the time it was me relaying information back and forth from the two..I think I was called maybe once or twice on the status of the product. I think I was very fair to Jesse, I never once was impatient with him, or even had a temper with him on the phone. The point is is I paid for a product that he recommended, it didn't work, and I am the one that am out of pocket for it. Also keep in my mind that he lied to me on several occasions saying I wouldn't ever have to ship it back for re-tunes, or maintenance or whatever...turns you out you HAVE to ship it back for it be re-tuned...Jesse and Hannah's answer to that was "Jesse had no idea."

I can see both sides have valid arguments Id call Jesse back and ask him for reimbursment of the shipping. New **** always has hickups I dealt with bullydog so much on there diesel tuners having problems it got rediculous.

I'm having some issues on a Wait for me tune on my LS1 car. It may be free for your "updates," but $8+ shipping and a week downtime can get old.
Who else does mail order tunes for a reasonable price?

Bottle Rocket you can buy another pcm for the down time. I always had 2. I had one for his lower grade, towing, 93 ocatne tune. and then a more "hotter" tune I guess that I was always playing with. And adjusting alot. if you having down time you mgiht have should have spen the extra 75 bucks to get another pcm from jesse.

8$ really wont add up that bad, for as good and respectful jesse has been. IMO.
