Thumbs up Joe is THE MAN!!

I really want to thank Joe over at Left Coast 32. We had a few glitches with UPS, but he took really good care of me. Stayed in constant communication with me, got everything that I needed, and even helped with shipping to Alaska!! I recommend him to anyone.

Oh, and I got a driving award on my first test drive!! The guy went easy on me.

After I installed the NGK's, two of my employees were dying for a test drive. We headed for the highway, and where the 45 zone changes to 65, I punched it and took off. I didn't let go until the computer shut me down at 98 MPH, which only took about 5-6 seconds. Well, a local law enforcement officer was 2 cars behind me and watched the whole thing. It took him a couple of miles to catch up to me. He didn't have his radar on, he visually estimated my speed at 80. He asked me how fast I went, I told him 90. I could have been arrested for reckless driving since I doubled the speed limit, he said. But he was smiling and his hands were shaking while he was talking to me. I think he had fun chasing me down. He complimented me on the nice truck, I told him it was my first drive w/new supercharger. He laughed and told me to take it to the track! Anyway, he gave me a citation for speed:reasonable and prudent, without attaching a MPH. $100 fine and 2 points. Not too bad, eh? The reckless driving charge would have been a trip to jail, impounded truck, HUGE fine, and 6 points. He also "recommended" that I "exercise my rights", I think he meant plea not guilty and go to court. I think if I do, he might not show up.

Definitely go to court and at the least ask for leniency. If the officer doesn't show up then hooray for you! It is always best to go before the Judge, fines are usually reduced at the least.
