I bought a busted flt level 5 (Dyno mishap) and it has taken me some time , but it is on the road now and it works great! The guys at FLT worked with me several times to get me that "oh look what I found cracked today replacement part". I would suggest anyone with transmission needs to consider them. If they treat me good and I am just a cheapskate trying to buy small parts, imagine hoe good their service is to a whole transmission customer.

The trans is GREAT! Had no idea how much power I was losing until I got the new trans in. Thanks for helping with all the calls and orders!!!

 

A busted FLT?!? Dyno mishap? As in trans dyno, who was running that? Not directed at you, slowec. Just a lil dig if it was Vince.

But it may've not been that type of dyno.

Seriously now, they build a fine product. And just like your last sentence says, (whole) trannies & hoes are Vince's specialty.

From what we are to understand the failure was behind the trans and the trans got victimized, on a chassis dyno NOT a trans dyno. I was not there so that's all I can say.

 

The driveshaft came apart on the dyno and flopped around and took out the trans.(1slohoe was his name I think). I bought the poor unit and gave it a home until I could rebuild it. The case was cracked, rear 5 gear was cracked. It was much worse than I thought it would be, but the guys at FLT sold me the parts I needed and were very helpful. I Now have a Level 5 spec unit that was assembled by a friend of mine. I think I could have bought a performabuilt for the amount of money I invested in hard parts on this thing, but I LOVE the result. FLT FTMFW!!!
