Would the truck pass emission tests here in Texas if the only code was for the TPS sensor???

 

can you not just go into the comp and turn it off

I believe that's part of the evap system in OBD II and it will not pass because that system won't be in a ready state - however I'm not an expert.

 

yeah thats my problem...
the evap system wont go to the ready state..
neither will the Catylist system.
I was told that you can have 2 of the systems not ready, but not three.
I also had the O2 sensor heater not ready but that finally went green this morning.
so I am now down to 2 systems not ready..
anybody got any input as to what I can look for???

like I said I have allready replaced the TPS sensor..
is there a TPS relearn or something..
I had a mechanic mention something about this

Try and tune it off, if not I know a place that will give you a sticker for $100. FWIW, my SES was on and went to charlie and he took it off, went got it inspected next day, No SES, then the day after it came back on. It was my evap system (has a leak somewhere) .
