I know what you mean! I had some a-hole at work park his POS Toyota next to my Grand Am GT. He parked so close, I couldn't even open my driver's door. I had to crawl my fat *** in the pass. side over the center console and into the driver's "cockpit". I was so pissed that I wanted to start jumping on his roof!! Imagine a 6'-2", 300 lb, pyscho jumping on an '80 model Toyota! I know if it was my truck, I'd been in jail! I've got a short temper to begin with. I went inside of Randalls in New Territory (sp?) and came out and a shopping cart was against my bed!! I exploded, picking it up and throwing it across the parking lot!! This guy walking by was like WTF!?!?!?

 

I can relate. When I drive my truck people stare, point, give me thumbs up etc, and the young women check me out... until they see the white hair and no teeth . When I drive my grocery getter 94 Olds 88 nobody knows I'm alive.

The upside of that is that sometimes I like being invisible. Kinda like back in the 70's when I had hair halfway down my back and a beard like ZZ Top the cops were always lookin at me. Made me paranoid as hell. My mother asked me to "clean up" for a special church thing and I figured I owed her and did it. I instantly became invisible to the cops! No rousts. No stopping me just to be stopping me. I didn't have to worry about whether or not I was carrying, they just didn't see me anymore. I didn't feel rejected about that!

 

I just ignore all the looks no matter what I'm driving that day.

I was in my G/F's Mitsibtshi mirage today and had some bullshit happen to me. the car is not a bomb POS or anything, just not the type of car you see a guy driving everyday. I was at a red light going to work, and some kids in a new Dodge pulled up laughed and said "yea it's got a Hemi" Now I dont know if they have just seen to many Dodge commercials on TV or if they were making fun of the car, but I just smiled and sayed "f*%$ a Hemi" then the Light turned green and they tried to take off like they had something.
Not only that but I caught a Joe Gibbs truck and a WS6 at other red lights,and a Z28 pulled up beside me at the drive in while I was getting lunch. Why does this always happen to me whn I am not in my truck!?!? I never see aything to play with on the streets when I am in my truck

 

chiks r shallow ive got a 99 sierra and a 67 chev. caprice. i see a chik in the caprice and they just look the other way, same senario in my sierra, chiks whistle at me, id love to tell them to get f-d, but then id never get laid. lol

Know what u mean Joey with not seeing anybody to play with when Im in the truck. Everytime im with someone else or in a different ride i see all kinds of cars and trucks to play with in town lol.

 

get the same type of reactions now that i've been trying my rental for a while since my truck is in the shop. people these days just guess at the amount of money you think you have or how cool you are just by wat you drive. people just don't learn.
