from experiance, not everyone can build a 60E to hold..
alot of these transmission places think they know whats going on, but for as long as I have been on here, this has been the main problem..
noone being able to build one that will hold up..
the main problem here is the 60E wont hold up to anything much over stock, regardless of how stout you build it..
the 65E is a step up, and I ahve seen them hold up to 600HP but anything over that and you probably need to step up to the 80E...
Vince at FLP, is one of the few shops around that has figured out a good setup for the transmissions..
I would suggest finding some shop that deals with lot of LS1 setups..
say like a race shop, and ask them where they send all their transmission work to..
ask how they hold up, and thenn give them a call and talk to them about what they can do for you..
Thats what I did down here..
found out who MTI uses and went over and talked to the guy, he is a specialist in Gm transmissions.. Not one of these domestic/import transmission shops that does them all and has a few weird looking guys working out back, that you really dont trust working around your truck..
he had it for 4 days, and returned it...
I have been happy ever since..
My opinion..
cut your losses, get your money back, get your transmission back, talk to Vince @ FLP, or find you a shop that specializes in these transmissions..
Oh and one more thing...
Just remember, regardless of what anyone tells you...
ANY TRANSMISSION REGARDLESS OF WHAT KIND IT IS, WHAT IT HAS IN IT, OR WHO BUILT IT, CAN, AND WILL BREAK SOMEDAY..

i dont want to sound like a dick( but i probably am)
it took me a 1999 ecsb silver Z71 running a 11.92 to make me realize what trans i should get when mine decided to blow. you sit and watch videos on top of videos of parish beating the hell out of his truck over and over again. who built his trans? FLT did. their site sponcers they have great customer service, and there great people in general. why would you want to take your transmission anywhere else when you could take it to one place and get it done right the first time. tell them what you want to get out of your truck and they will tell you what trans you need.
i just dont understand why people would take there trans anywhere else. its not like FLT is priced outragious.

What is it about Oklahoma businesses. I have only lived in Oklahoma for a couple of years now, but it seems like a different country at times. It's like people are only in business for themselves around here and they don't give a damn about their customers. I don't know how most of them stay in business. I'm not saying there all bad around here, but there sure seems to be a lot of them that want nothing better than to take advantage of as many people as they can.

Also I agree with getting an FLT. However if you want it in a hurry it's probably not going to happen. I ordered mine like a week before the new year, right before they were closing the shop for a week and I still don't have any idea when I am going to get it. I am not complaining about it. I think they are just really busy getting caught up on everthing they have to build. I think Chuck told me they had 13 they needed to build when I placed my order. I just hope they get it done soon as I pretty much have no 2nd gear and it really sucks driving around with out 2nd gear.
